Little people have big feelings!

Your child may not always have the words to describe their feelings, but you know they experience them deeply. It’s clear in every smile and every tear. Emotional intelligence makes parenting easier and sets your child up for success well into adulthood.

We can help your child overcome challenges such as:

  • DIVORCE

  • BLENDED FAMILIES

  • ANXIETY

  • TRAUMA

  • GRIEF

  • struggles at school

our process

Therapy at this age is such a gift! As your child explores their feelings in therapy, they will become more confident and grounded. Struggles in school and at home will become an opportunity for growth and connection.

1. ESTABLISH RAPPORT

Your child’s therapist will use play and reflective listening to build trust and open communication with your child. You may have some private sessions with the therapist to discuss your concerns.

2. NAMING EMOTIONS

When your child has the space and vocabulary to talk openly about their needs and feelings, negative experiences become less overwhelming and scary.

3. BUILD RESILIENCE

Your child takes ownership of their feelings and what they choose to do with them. Equipped with new emotional skills, your child will navigate challenges with more courage and resilience.

our approach

Our therapists provide a safe, supportive environment for your child to process their struggles and develop new skills. We respect your child’s unique needs and build on their special strengths.

Play Therapy

Play therapy uses games, toys, and other activities to understand what your child is experiencing outside of the therapy office. It gives young children a voice even when they don’t have the words to fully express themselves.

Mindfulness

Emotions and trauma affect the body just as much as the brain! Mindfulness exercises calm the body’s fight-or-flight response, so your child can remain grounded when things are hard or painful memories surface.

Family Therapy

While we love doing one-on-one therapy with children, sometimes the whole family needs to come together for deeper change to happen. Our team of therapists can help you find the right arrangement for your situation.
