My Passion

Do you feel like you aren’t measuring up? Like you’re broken or don’t deserve to be happy? Many of my clients come to therapy with these feelings. Often they are stuggling with painful memories and porn or sex addiction.

My role is to help you make sense of your relationships - both with yourself and with your loved ones. As you come to understand your thoughts and feelings, you’ll feel free to choose the life you want, rather than be controlled by the trauma of your past.

My Approach

‘Internal Family Systems’ (IFS) is my favorite approach. IFS teaches that depression, anxiety, and addiction are understandable (and even protective) ways of responding to pain. It also gives you the tools to overcome these challenges, so you can live life on your own terms.

I find that many problems are multilayered and need more than one approach. That’s why I also use Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to address uderlying trauma. EMDR calms the brain, so that traumatic memories no longer carry the same emotional power as the original experience.
